Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets the athletes of Paris Olympic 2024 on the Independence day who shined their country’s name. He congratulated the medal winners for their extraordinary performance.

Pime Minister talked to them about the perseverance, resilience, hardships they went through, and also shared conversations about food and nick names. The athletes also revealed that they were not allowed to use mobile throughout the tournament. Modi said, “it’s good to see the number of injuries reduced. It means our players have gained expertise.”

He termed Vinesh Phogat “brave daughter” who was disqualified from the Olympics due to over weighing in her category in wrestling.

As a gratitude, the Indian Hockey Team gifted Modi an Olympic jersey with signatures of all Indian hockey players in it. Manu Bhaker gave him a specially designed air pistol, wrestler Aman Sehrawat also gave a signed jersey to PM as a token of respect.
